Illumination

The illumination system of the slit lamps has been completely redesigned to better integrate the horizontal and vertical tilting system and to improve ergonomics. The illumination is controlled directly at the base of the unit.
The SL9900_99K features the classic ‘H-type’ lighting tower with illumination from above.

LED light source

The main LED illumination source, with its low thermal emission, provides high comfort for the patient during biomicroscopic examination. The color temperature of the light emission remains constant regardless of its intensity.

15mm spot

A wider-than-traditional light spot allows simultaneous illumination of the cornea and ocular adnexa, or the examination of large-diameter contact lenses such as mini-scleral and scleral
lenses.

Chin rest

Besides allowing vertical adjustment of the patient’s head position, the wide-section headrest arc makes it easier for the operator to hold lenses during fundus observation.

High grade optics

The slit lamp is offering convergent Galilean microscope optics with 5-fold magnification changer from 6x to 40x.

The classic H-type design of the SL9900_99K model allows the slit to be tilted horizontally by up to 20° (slit decoupling).

Yellow barrier filter

Fitted as standard on all bon slit lamp microscopes, it allows to increase contrast during biomicroscopic examination with fluorescein and blue filter.

Stereo variator microscope

An optional version of the convergent Galilei microscope is available with an integrated stereo variator, providing enhanced flexibility for retinal examinations using hand-held lenses. The
adjustable stereoscopic angle allows the microscope to be optimally adapted to different examination scenarios, helping to maximize the binocular field of view, even when the patient’s
pupil diameter is limited.

The SL9800_98K and SL9900_99K slit lamps are already pre-equipped with a trigger in the joystick and automatic R/L detection as standard. Together with the Mizar camera module (optional; not included), they become a fully-fledged „DigiPro“ in no time at all. The DigiPro has been the world’s most successful digital slit lamp for many years, now in its fifth technology generation. Mizar has a professional 3/4 inch chip that has been specially developed for use in ophthalmology. It provides superior transmission values compared to a conventional beam splitter. An ambient illumination is included in the scope of delivery. An automatic white balance ensures exceptionally true-colour image reproduction.

The advanced „Selective Sharpness“ algorithm minimises imaging noise and improves details at high detail at high magnifications.

The Mizar camera can be integrated into common practice applications via a professional DICOM interface. A modern USB 3.0 interface guarantees fast data transfer and high PC compatibility. Experience photos, videos and full-screen live images in unparalleled sharpness of detail. Even demanding endothelial and fundus shots are possible without the use of flash.

The Phoenix Software

The Mizar camera module includes the advanced Phoenix software. Its network-compatible database is unlimited and ensures easy and professional image management.
The integrated image processing enables convenient marking, drawing, annotating and measuring directly in the picture. You can compare up to 6 images – optimal for case documentation.
Phoenix is a multi tasking software platform for the DigiPro slit lamp, the Cobra fundus camera, the Sirius Scheimpflug camera, the topographer Antares, the anterior segment OCT MS-39 and the Perseus specular microscope – a world of diagnostic capability.
